Guide to Giving

Where to Give

Students are the reason we’re here, and they’re the number one reason most donors give to Dalton State. Scholarships, research stipends, even money for books or maybe even a stethoscope for a nursing class, support for students is the Foundation’s primary focus. You can designate your gift for a variety of student scholarship options on our online giving form.

Academics & Programs
Our talented faculty and dedicated staff are committed to delivering quality instruction and guidance to students throughout their college careers at Dalton State. Many of the academic programs in the College’s five schools have earned top-tier international, national, and state accreditations. Designate your gift for a favorite academic program or school on our online giving form.

Facilities & Campus Growth
Did you know that a gift of property was the first gift in Dalton State’s history that started it all? Or that philanthropy has been the primary catalyst for campus growth? Investing in campus facilities and expansion is key to the College’s future. You can designate your gift for facilities and campus growth on our online giving form.

How to Give

Annual Giving
Yearly financial support for Dalton State’s students and academic programs is an essential component of the College’s success. That’s why we ask alumni and friends to give every year, and that’s why increasing numbers of them say “yes” when they’re asked to make an annual gift for Dalton State.
  • Set up a recurring gift, and we’ll only contact you each year to say “thank you” and update you on the good things happening on campus.
  • Commit to one of our student callers during the Alumni & Friends Phonathon each fall.
  • Give online
  • Fill out and return one of our annual mail solicitations
  • Even students give.
However you choose to give, we appreciate your support of our students and academic programs.

Major Gifts & Endowments
Major capital gifts to build or expand campus facilities and endowments to sustain student scholarships, faculty chairs, lecture programs, and academic departments are vital to Dalton State’s continued ability to provide a quality higher education experience for our students. From time to time, the College honors extraordinary philanthropy with the naming of a campus building or academic program in honor of the donor or the donor’s loved one. Please contact us if you would like to know more about major gifts and endowments at Dalton State.

Faculty & Staff Giving
Dalton State faculty and staff may use this form to set up a recurring gift that will be paid through payroll deduction.
